About the Job
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Fence crew and work at job site.
- Ensure that all work is done in a safe and secure manner.
- Meet the customers’ expectations in regard to quality of work and any special requirements of the customer at the site.
- Keep project manager informed of all developments at the job site ensuring that the project manager is immediately aware of all issues, problems and schedule changes.
- Lead and direct fence crew providing training, guidance and staff development.
- Maintain complete and accurate paperwork for each job.
Significant Tasks:
- Meet project manager at 7:00 AM to obtain specific instructions, report arrival and departure to and from job site. At end of day report progress.
- Load truck each morning with all necessary supplies and tools
- Secure job site at end of day by blocking off area with the placement of cones, cover open holes, caution tape and temporary fencing
- Perform daily truck inspections checking condition of crew truck, safety equipment and tools. Report inspections to fleet manager.
- Check in with customer upon arrival at job site.
- Wear Nextel Phone at all times during working hours.
- Wear and maintain a neat and professional appearance to include wearing company uniform.
- Determine with project manager at end of day whether truck should be off-loaded and/or on-loaded for the following day
- Prepare paperwork at end of each day and submit to project manager.
- Attend and participate in company meetings as appropriate.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to lift 80 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day.
- Five years' experience in fence installation.
- Willingness to lead and direct personnel in a supervisory capacity.
- Have the ability to interact with the customers and clients in a professional and customer service-oriented manner.
- Ability to pass a DOT Physical, pre-employment drug screening, and background check.
